Write down comments (both positive and negative) about your daily practice session at the bottom of your daily practice log. This helps you analyze your practice habits, improve efficiency, and streamline your practice routine.
Writing down exact tempo information of each exercise helps you track your progress in small increments. It is also motivating to see your progress over time and it helps you identify weakness and the point to failure of each pattern/exercise.
These are just a few simple practice rules that I have learned and abide by every time I sit down to practice. Sharing these with you will hopefully help you streamline your daily practice routine. I will add many more rules to this collection over time.
